COMMON
SKY

A Manifesto

◆ I

THE SKY BELONGS
TO EVERYONE

The sky is the one canvas that belongs to no one — and everyone. It cannot be owned, fenced, or sold. When we paint it with light, we create a moment that is shared by an entire community — visible beyond rooftops, beyond borders, beyond expectations.

Where others see empty air, we see the world’s largest canvas.

INSPIRED
BY THE
SWARM

A swarm becomes more than the sum of its parts.

We don’t just take our name from bees. We learn from them. For seven years, we have kept bees at the Natural Reserve Verdemare — between Cogoleto and Varazze, along the Ligurian coast — observing how they navigate, communicate, and dance.

Our drones move the way they do because bees taught us how a swarm becomes more than the sum of its parts. The waggle dance, the collective intelligence, the emergent choreography of thousands of individual bodies moving as one — these are not metaphors for us. They are blueprints.

Our robotic swarm simulates the flight, language, and dance of bees, translating it into lights and sounds — a living aerial language written across the night sky.

“A screen divides.
A performance unites.”
◆ III

NOT CINEMA —
PERFORMANCE

A drone show is not a video projected onto the sky. It is a live, unrepeatable performance. The audience doesn’t watch a screen — they look up together, sharing the same sky, the same moment.

When hundreds of luminous drones take flight, there is no frame, no border, no individual view. Everyone shares the same sky.

That is what makes Aerial Media Arts fundamentally different from any other medium. It is not content — it is experience. An experience that cannot be paused, rewound, or owned. Only witnessed.

AMBIENT SCALE

Beyond the Border

A drone show is visible far beyond the event itself — across neighborhoods, from hilltops, through windows. It transcends the physical boundary of the venue and becomes part of the urban or natural landscape.

A show above a city can be seen from kilometers away — an unexpected gift to someone looking up from a balcony, a car, a hillside.

Our performances exist at ambient scale. They are not contained by walls or screens. The sky has no borders.

115 Years of Sky

THE
EVOLUTION

LuminousBees is part of Parente Fireworks Group — a family that has been creating spectacles in the sky for over 115 years. From gunpowder to light, from explosion to choreography — the medium evolves, but the mission remains: to make people look up in wonder.

For 115 years, the Parente family has made the sky speak — first with fire, now with light.

LuminousBees is the next chapter in this story. The medium changes. The wonder remains.

The sky will be our stage.
Drones, our performers.
